New Disaster Preparedness Course on the Way

disaster_preparednessPowerPhone listens to its students. You’ve told us that you need a class that addresses the dispatcher’s role in planning and preparing for disasters. We’re pleased to report that work is underway on this course and we expect to launch it in 2009!

Designed for the front-line telecommunicator, this 8-hour program will cover the dispatcher’s role in planning and preparing for a natural and man-made disasters, including such topics as:

  • Weather disasters (tornados, hurricanes, snowstorms, etc.)
  • Pandemics
  • Terrorist Attacks
  • Communicating in a disaster
  • Backup plans
  • Much more!
