911 Dispatcher To Work From Jail

jail_barsIn Darke County (Ohio) the 911 dispatch coordinator has been sentenced to 20 days in jail for felony drug trafficking, though he will be allowed to continue employment — even while he is serving his sentence.

Brandon Redmond, 22, pled guilty last month to aggravated drug trafficking.  He was charged in March after investigators determined he gave Percocet pills to a 17-year-old.

He was sentenced yesterday, June 24, to 20 days in jail, 60 hours of community service, a mandatory $5,000 fine, and will lose his license for 6 months.   He will also be on probation for three years — if he violates his probation he could get one year in prison. Redmond’s sentence included work-privileges that will allow him to continue has job for the county.
