PowerPhone recognizes Michigan dispatcher for her professionalism in a crisis
(Madison, CT September 23, 2009) — PowerPhone, Inc., a leading provider of 9-1-1 training and technology, recognized the efforts of Dispatcher Trina Lengyel, a six-year Southgate, Michigan dispatch veteran, for her professionalism, tenacity and diligence in responding to a life-threatening emergency medical call last April. The ceremony in Trina’s honor was conducted on September 14, at the Novi, Michigan Police Department as part of a PowerPhone training course in Emergency Medical Dispatch.
Dispatcher Lengyel was honored for her service, outstanding effort, and professionalism in a crisis. The 9-1-1 tape, played during the ceremony, demonstrated her exceptional calmness, and multi-tasking ability, while providing accurate instructions during this intense call.
“Dispatchers are the first, and often the most instrumental contact that responders and citizens have to emergency services, and often times their hard work and dedication are overlooked,” PowerPhone CEO Chris Salafia explained. “We are proud to be able to highlight accomplishments like Trina’s to shine a light on the important work this nation’s dispatchers are doing every day.”
A recognition plaque was presented by John Brunelli, PowerPhone lead instructor for Fire and EMS, during a PowerPhone Emergency Medical Dispatch training program.
