PowerPhone Gives Back to the Military

PowerPhone, a leading provider of 911 dispatcher training, participated in a different kind of Adopt-a-Family program this year. Operation Embracing Lonely Families (Operation E.L.F.) was created 6 years ago by Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell, to assist families who are suffering from extreme financial hardship as a result of their service member’s call to active duty. Through the “adoption” process, Operation E.L.F. is able to fulfill the basic human needs of families such as clothing and food assistance. The Connecticut National Guard provided the telecommunicator training company with a wish list of items for a family of five, with children ages 2 months, 16 months, and 4 years old. Operation E.L.F was received with great enthusiasm, and PowerPhone’s employees donated food, gift cards, clothes, toys, movies, books, and candles. The crisis communications training organization also donated clothing items bought from the Children’s Place, and toys from Toys-R-Us. This military family was certainly blessed to receive a helping hand this holiday season. A big “Thank you” goes out to all employees for your generosity and support!
