911 Dispatcher Saves His Son

During his February 4th shift, Chris Scott, a Thurston County, Washington 911 dispatcher received the call he had always dreaded- a woman asking for help to save her choking child. Only this call was even more surreal- it was his wife reaching out for help! Their son Jacob was choking on a piece of plastic, had stopped breathing, and was unconscious. Utilizing his emergency medical dispatch training, this quick-thinking young man stayed calm for his family, and we are happy to say, this story does have a happy ending. Kudos Chris!
