Two Oregon men are facing prison for 2008 bank robbery where they tried to use a common ploy to evade authorities.
Robert Alan Peters fired a shot from a .357 revolver into the ceiling of the Umpqua Bank in Grants Pass and yelled, “Hold up!”
Anthony George Arrigo called 911 to report a robbery in progress.
Now both men will spend 10 years in federal prison for the Jan. 18, 2008, robbery.
And they almost got away with it, too.
