Prosecutor releases 911 tapes in West Memphis police deaths

A panicked driver who’d just witnessed two Arkansas officers shot during a traffic stop struggled as he described the scene to a 911 dispatcher, saying he was looking at a dead officer, according to tapes of the anguished calls released Friday.
“Oh my God! Oh (expletive)! Oh my God, please! Hello?” Vincent Brown said as he got out of his truck at an Interstate 40 exit where authorities believe the West Memphis officers were ambushed by an anti-government activist and his teenage son, who was armed with an AK-47.
The FedEx delivery truck driver’s words became muffled before the dispatcher asked what he saw.
“His brains. He’s dead, his brains is on…” Brown answered.
“This is an officer?” the dispatcher asked, and Brown replied: “Yes, yes.”
