Grandma arrested after calling 911 because she didn’t want to babysit

Berthrine Chambers sits outside her Lauderdale Courts apartment, fresh out of jail.
Her crime was calling 9-1-1 because she didn’t want to babysit her grandkids.
“They said you were upset? Yes I was. About babysitting? Yeah! Why would you call 9-1-1 about babysitting? I get tired of babysitting. You hear me. I get tired of babysitting,” says Ms. Chambers in response to our questions.
Ms. Chambers says she told her daughter she can’t keep the 2 and 3 year old kids.
But she is still forced to babysit them and her heart condition, can’t handle it.
“When I get tired of babysitting, I be telling her get this child, get this child. Don’t nothing be done about it and I been calling everybody,” says Chambers.
Friday morning officers responded to Ms. Chambers call and told her it wasn’t an emergency.
She called back.
The second time they found her in the yard yelling she didn’t want to babysit her grandkids.
She was arrested for public intoxication and making non emergency 911 calls.
