BANGOR, ME — The employees at the Penobscot Regional Communication Center will make the holidays a bit brighter for two military families that are struggling this holiday season.
Those employees have raised money and collected toys and gifts for those families for Christmas. One family has two children, the other has three. The dispatchers filled their wish lists and also purchased prepaid cards for groceries and heating oil for the families.
“These are people that are serving our country or have served our country and they’re having a little rough time and we feel that its up to us to make it a little easier for them and that’s what we’re trying to do,” said James Ryan, executive director of PRCC.
This is the sixth year that PRCC has sponsored military families for Christmas.
