The staff of the Jefferson County Emergency Communications 911 Center recognized a local 4-year-old girl Wednesday night who was able to call 911 from her mother’s cell phone after her mother suffered a severe asthma attack in September.

The 911 call came about 4:20 a.m. Sunday from an 11-year-old girl clinging to life, making a desperate bid for help after her mother was hacked to death and she was attacked inside their Mont Vernon home.
